Kathy Munkvold

Kathy Munkvold, PhD serves as the Scientific Program Director for the Crop Production Systems portfolio at the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR), a U.S.-based nonprofit that drives innovation in food and agriculture through public-private collaboration. Prior to her role at FFAR, Kathy led Open Innovation at Corteva Agriscience, held research roles at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences and Keygene Inc. and directed policy and public affairs at the American Society of Plant Biologists. Kathy’s academic background is rooted in plant science, with a Master’s in Botany from the University of Georgia, a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Cornell University, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Boyce Thompson Institute.
