Suzanne Rowe

Suzanne Rowe is a quantitative geneticist at AgResearch, a crown research institute in New Zealand. Suzanne has a PhD in Quantitative genetics from the University of Edinburgh. Her science portfolio focuses on the integration of molecular and statistical genomic data to predict outcomes from, and to understand complex biological systems. Recently Suzanne led a team successfully investigating the biological and economic impacts of breeding for low methane ruminants. The team were awarded the prestigious Royal Society NZ Pickering medal in 2024. Suzanne will discuss the implementation of molecular phenotypes within livestock breeding schemes.
