Kelly Gilmore

Kelly Gilmore is a board-certified genetic counselor at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She graduated from University of Cincinnati in 1997 with a master’s degree in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry and graduated from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2002 with a master’s degree in Genetic Counseling. She is currently a clinical instructor in the UNC Department of Ob/Gyn, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She provides reproductive genetic counseling services for a variety of indications including preconception, advanced maternal age, positive prenatal screening, family and pregnancy history concerns and ultrasound anomalies. Her current area of special interest is determining a genetic etiology for fetal anomalies when routine testing does not provide a diagnosis. She is the study coordinator and variant analyst for several prenatal exome and genome sequencing research projects.
