Hilary Finucane

Hilary Finucane is an Assistant Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Member of the Genetics Program at the Broad Institute’s Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research. Her research develops computational methods to understand how genetic variation drives disease. During her PhD at MIT, she co-developed LD score regression, now widely used to analyze heritability and genetic architecture. Her lab has developed methods to identify causal variants and genes at GWAS loci, including the Polygenic Priority Score (PoPS), and now focuses on the interpretation of coding variation in disease. She is a recipient of the NIH Director’s Early Independence Award and was previously a Hertz Foundation Fellow.
