Principal Scientist, Lead Precision Genetics Head Biotechnology International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) Mexico 56237Anindya Bandyopadhyay is passionate in applying boundary-pushing technologies to develop novel Agricultural products to address various global challenges for food, feed and green chemical production. A molecular biologist by training from Institutes such as IRRI, UC Berkeley, University of Kentucky USA, and over 16 years of combined experience in the public and private sectors such as a Group leader in IRRI, Global genome editing lead at Syngenta and Vice President in Reliance Anindya gained experience in Agricultural R&D management with emphasis on Gene edited crop product development using Ag-Biotech Tools. His expertise spans around Crop genetic engineering and gene editing as well as fermentation-based food and high value product development, using plant cells and microbes as cell factories. At present Dr. Anindya is leading Biotechnology and genome editing activities of CIMMYT, an International Nonprofit organization under CGIAR as a Principal Scientist and Head of Biotechnology.
