An
island oasis drifting off the southernmost tip of the Florida
Gulf and nearly lost in the Ten Thousand Islands, Marco Island
Marriott Resort & Golf Club blends a tempting twist of tropical
passions and sun-splashed excitement into an enchanting 'unforgettable'
island escape. Privileged travelers get lost in the intriguing
contrasts of the resort where waves of sun-drenched beaches,
always-warm Gulf waters and passionate sunsets present a tame,
pampered complement to the tangled wildness and sweeping sawgrass
prairies of Florida's famous Everglades nearby.
Named one of "America's Top Twenty Resorts" by Conde Nast
Traveler, Marco Island Marriott Resort & Golf Club lies
mere footprints from three-and-one-half miles of sweeping,
pearlescent sands and shimmering turquoise-flecked waters
on Florida's largest inhabited isle of the Ten Thousand Islands.
A natural blend of casual
South Florida charm and the charisma of the islands, the resort
named Hotel of the Year by Marriott Hotels, Resort and
Suites offers endless activities on surf and sand.
Accessed through an inland maze of waterways and islets thick
with mangroves, palmettos and sawgrass, Marco Island Marriott
Resort & Golf Club connects to the coast by a bridge spanning
a sun-reflected azure ribbon. Fifteen acres of brilliant,
cascading gardens bursting pink hibiscus and bright
red and purple begonias mingle with warm Gulf breezes
to welcome guests in true resort style.
Inside, a magnificent vaulted atrium and three-story picture
windows reveal a kaleidoscope of palms, pelicans and shimmering
Gulf waters dotted with bright, billowing sails. Cream-hued
marble floors are accented with coquina rock pillars as twin
spiral staircases descend to a sun-washed garden courtyard.
Outside, a cocoon of coconut, Chinese fan and Sabal palms
envelope three sparkling pools and a bubbling whirlpool.
